Week Nine: Thursday
Today while I was riding, my necklace fell off I think. It's somewhere in the woods but I was on a long hack and I probably wouldn't be able to find it even if I looked. But if anyone is wandering in the forest and finds a silver necklace with a horseshoe charm on it, could you tell me? I'd rather like to have it back sometime, but if I don't find it I guess that's all right, too.

I should ask some birds or something. They like shiny things and one of them might have taken it for their nest. Yes, I think I'll do that. Of course then they get so stingy with their shiny things that I'd have to trade them something to get it back. I can't think of anything else shiny that they'd like to have. I'll have to consider it for a bit, I suppose.

Oh thank you! When I'm out I'm usually on horseback and these young horses require so much attention that I hardly have a chance to look around. You remember the stream we met by that one time? I was riding just North of there. I galloped through a clearing, so there's a good chance it fell off then, I suppose. It would be much easier if you found it; birds can be so difficult to deal with.

You should try teaching Cassius to sniff it out for ya. What with you two being all chatty, I'm sure you could explain it to him. Not sure his sniffer is strong enough, but he enjoys going on walks with you, so he'd probably be willing to help.

That's a good idea! Though he might get confused since the necklace has my scent on it and I would be walking with him. We could always give it a go, though. Cassius is a sweetheart, even if he has got a bit of a dirty mouth on him!

I take full responsibility for his 'colorful' language. Makes me proud that he's able to translate my filthy words into doggie speak.

He also tells me all sorts of things about you, you know! It can be quite shocking, actually. He's quite the gossip.

He's supposed to keep his eyes closed and his paws over his ears. I'm gonna have to have a chat with him about that later. Besides, it's one thing to peek, another thing entirely for him to blab to you.

Don't worry, I won't tell. I think I don't understand half the euphemisms he uses anyway!

Though, he did tell me you should let him "get some." I don't know what he wants to get, but that's what he said.

I haven't seen any girl dogs runnin' around school. You help him find one, and he can get all he likes! I won't object.

Wait, what?

What does he want to get from a girl dog?

Sex.

Ooooooh

Right, well even if there was a girl dog, she might not like him! He'd have to have a bit of luck and find just the right woman who can appreciate his charm, after all.

Bitches in heat don't care about charm.

They're not always in heat, you know. And sometimes they can still be quite selective! Not all of them are slags. Well, most are when it comes to being in heat. There are a few, though, that still keep their standards intact.

Not many, though...

Like, when women are drunk some of them will sleep with anyone, but others will still tell you to hit the road if you're not their cup of tea.

Of course, I've never actually been drunk so I can't really speak from personal experience.

Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just find him a woman. I'm tired of him humping my pillows.

And I told him to quit doing that!

You can speak with animals?! I suppose that's not so strange here, but, wow!

Yes! My dad can as well. He's a full nymph, so he can also make things grow faster, like plants and such, but since I'm only half I think I only got half of the abilities. I'd much rather talk to animals than make a flower bloom, though!

I agree! I love plants, though. I need to get one for my room. I like to have some earth inside, if that makes any sense.
